Handmade in Ohio
Our Pottery
We make wheel thrown, functional and decorative stoneware pottery fired to 2400°F in a high efficiency gas kiln. We feel that people who like art on their walls also like beautiful handmade pottery on their table. We work from our home — our studio and gallery are open 7 days a week (please call before you visit). Come by and see Mike demonstrating, purchase some pottery, and be greeted by our beautiful Black Lab, Ducky.

"It was love at first touch."
Mike was introduced to clay while studying at the University of Cincinnati. He attended Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, studying with Byron Temple, who encouraged him to apprentice in England. He trained in London, Ireland, and England — and was privileged to catalogue Bernard Leach's private collection. Byron Temple, Bernard Leach, Shoji Hamada, and Russell Collins remain a deep influence.
The Kiln
A great big THANK YOU to Kelby Bowers for the Crown Brewery Bottle he cast — it perfectly completes the micro-brewery bottle cap collection on our kiln.
